    PD Dr. Theodor Baars studierte Katholische Theologie, Philosophie und Medizin. Er war als Internist in Landshut und als Kardiologe am Universitätsklinikum in Essen tätig. Nach der Promotion und der Habilitation im Fach „Innere Medizin“  wurde er zum Privatdozenten ernannt. Seit 2018 arbeitet er als niedergelassener Arzt in Essen und seit 2020 als Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter und Hochschullehrer am Universitätsklinikum in Bochum.
